Al’s Westward Ho Motel $109

Location, location, location is the name of the game for Al’s Westward Ho Motel. The closest motel to the park’s western gate allows guests to spend the time where they’d prefer, rather than in traffic.

The Westward Ho offers clean, reliable accommodations in renovated hotel rooms. Flat screen TVs keep everyone entertained while at the motel, but western decor themes like reclaimed shiplap give the impression of thoughtful design.

The Westward Ho staff can help guests make the most of their trips to the area with bicycle rentals, fishing trips, guided tours of the park, and more. Families looking for a pool will be disappointed, but winter visitors will appreciate the close proximity to the park on shorter days where swimming wouldn’t be a possibility.

Moose Creek Inn $99

The recently renovated Moose Creek Inn has the look and feel of a lodge, cabins, however, are a better description. The one motel on our budget “hotel” list earned its spot because of its excellent updates. Logs, animal skins, and stone features are a hallmark of the are, but motels aren’t particularly known for their decor. The Moose Creek Inn, however, should be.

There are a variety of room types and styles including suites and family rooms. Premium toiletries and clever design choices make this property feel more like a boutique hotel and embody a modern western approach.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Island Park Yellowstone $89

One of the best value hotels in West Yellowstone is the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Park Yellowstone. As a member of the Marriott family of hotels, perks like included wi fi are just part of the experience.

In addition to its great location in West Yellowstone (Montana), it is also surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. Near to the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the hotel is easy for flyers (just south of Yellowstone airport (WYS) or those who have been road tripping and need some extra space to spread out.

Springhill Suites by Marriott is the chain’s all-suite, extended stay line of hotels. A kitchenette with a fridge, a dining table, and a pull-out couch help families to make better use of both their space and their budget.

Unlike other budget hotels guests might have encountered on their trip west, they won’t have to worry about air conditioning, TVs, cable, or even private bathrooms – this isn’t that kind of budget hotel.

It may not be the best possible accommodations in West Yellowstone, however, it offers the most value with one of the lowest prices for all of the amenities it offers, it may be one of the best values in the area.

Gray Wolf Inn & Suites $85

One of the best budget properties on this list has been saved for last. The Gray Wolf Inn & Suites might be the premier Yellowstone hotel for its incredible cabins.

The privacy and connection with nature that the cabins offer are second to none in the area – without considering its exceptional price point.
