The Suite

As a big fan of Ritz Carlton’s Club lounge, I booked a standard Club Room for my stay. I read a lot of good reviews about the newly decorated suites, prior to my arrival I requested an upgrade to if availability would allow.

The Club City View Suite on the 32nd Floor that I was then upgraded to, left me speechless. Feeling much bigger than the 100sqm it supposedly is, this corner suite features amazing views. The luxurious interiors spread over 2 bathrooms, a living room, walk-in closet and master bed room. I welcome letter and fruit basket were awaiting me.

Living Room

After entering the suite, passing through an entrance area, a coffee maker and mini bar are in the corridor that opens up to the beautifully set up living room. An oversized guest bathroom makes this area perfect for visiting friends or smaller private business meetings.

The Living room has a work desk with seating for an additional guest, 42 inch LCD TV, a sofa for 3 and 4 additional single seats. Orchids on the table and books in the cabinets make the home like feeling perfect.

Bedroom

The king bed with Ritz Carlton’s signature linens and featherbeds is in the center of the bedroom. An adjustable and free-standing TV is on the foot end of the bed. Two chaise longue on either side of the corner window, offer additional comfortable seating to enjoy the city view, read a book or just relax.

Beautiful dark hardwood parquet makes the perfect match to the wooden furniture and the overall Rococo Design of the hotel.

Bathroom

The marble master bathroom, which is connected to the entrance hallway by a walk-in closet and that is adjacent to the master bedroom, offers a bathtub next to window, a separate walk-in shower and double vanities. All bathroom amenities are as expected from Asprey.

The Lounge

I spent most of my time during this stay in the Club Lounge on the 33rd floor. Besides offering amazing views of the Guangzhou Tower on the other side of the Pearl River, the service was far beyond my expectation.

Friendly and professional staff kept me entertained in this newly refurbished lounge, a great selection of drinks and food was offered throughout the day. With a la carte options for lunch and dinner, typical Ritz Carlton afternoon tea, an all-day changing buffet was offered.

The staff actively tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible, all this to an extend that I actually booked an additional night.

Marriott Bonvoy’s Service and Benefits

On my first night of the stay, I found an elite member exclusive offer on the Bonvoy App offering double points for my stay. Together with the ongoing promotion, I was able to earn over 10000 points on this stay. As Titanium Elite, I was further upgraded to a suite and was able to enjoy late check out.

Earn points to redeem here at The Ritz Carlton Guangzhou with the Marriott Bonvoy credit card. Learn why we think this card is one of the best.

Value

With a regular room priced at about 200$ per night or 40000points, I would suggest to pay for your room instead of redeeming it for points. Book a Club Room and enjoy all the extra benefits of the club lounge.

What do you think? Have you stayed at the The Ritz Carlton Guangzhou ? Was it a 5 Star experience?
