Radisson Hotel Group’s rewards programs are for its most loyal guests and are available at over 1,100 of its properties worldwide under brands that include Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson Individuals and the Radisson Collection, as well as Park Inn, Park Plaza, Country Inns & Suites and Prizotel.
Destinations include the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Lots of Changes
The company rebranded from Carlson to Radisson in 2018, and its Club Carlson loyalty program was renamed Radisson Rewards at that time. In June 2021, Radisson split its rewards program into two, with the traditional program covering hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region.
North, South and Central America properties are now under the Radisson Americas Reward Program. You can exchange points between programs, but you will have to create a new Radisson Americas account. You can also request a status match from one Radisson program to the other. Here are some FAQs on the new loyalty program for the Americas.
Adding to the confusion, Choice acquired Radisson Americas in 2022, but since the deal closed only a few months ago, the two Radisson reward programs will continue to operate independently. You can expect more changes in the coming year due to the Choice acquisition and we’ll keep you up to date on changes as they happen.

Radisson Elite Tiers
You join the rewards program at the Radisson Club level, and earn elite status through hotel stays. You get automatic Club level by signing up. To achieve Premium status you need 5 nights or 3 stays. You reach VIP after 30 nights or 20 stays. Platinum elite status has been eliminated.
All bookings count towards elite status including award nights and Points + Cash reservations, and points roll over to the next year to help you maintain your status or get to a higher level the next year.
Elite Benefits
Elites get a complimentary room upgrade at check-in if available. The upgrade may be a preferred location, a better view or a recently renovated room. VIP members can get upgraded to the best room available or a standard suite. The elite member needs to be a registered guest to get a room upgrade.
Early check-in and late check-out two hours ahead of or after the published times are also available to elites. Top-tier members can also get a guaranteed room if booking 72 hours in advance for Premium members and 48 hours for VIP guests, who also get breakfast for two and exclusive VIP access. There is also a dedicated customer service line for VIP elites.
Radisson Club membership gives you access to a 10% discount or more on direct bookings through Radisson’s website or mobile app. You earn points for every dollar spent on the room rate and any food and beverage charged to your room during your stay.
Members also get discounts of 10-15% on food and beverage by tier. Every member gets two free bottles of water with every stay.
Ways to Earn Points
Holding elite status will help you earn points in the Radisson program faster. Club members get 8 points per dollar, Premium members get 27 and VIPs get 36 points per dollar.
If you book meetings and events, you can earn five points per dollar with the Radisson Rewards for Business program. Also, if you book hotel rooms for your colleagues in a small- or medium-sized company you can get 10 points per dollar.
Car rental partners for discounts and earning points
Radisson also has a number of partners that can help you earn points including car rental companies.
Europcar and Sixt car rental agencies offer the opportunity to earn Radisson points, and some also offer discounts to Radisson members. You can earn 750 points and get up to a 15% discount with Sixt. You can earn 1,800 points on qualifying rentals with Europcar.
Credit Cards
Radisson rewards program discontinued its credit card partnership last summer so unfortunately there are currently no credit cards with sign-up bonuses to help you build your points balance or obtain additional perks. Current cardholders have been transitioned to other U.S. Bank cards.
Redeeming Points
Award bookings for the Radisson rewards program start at 15,000 points per night for a standard room, and there are no blackout dates. You can use as little as 5,000 points when you use points and cash to book a room.
Radisson Rewards Award Night Redemptions
Another change for Radisson last year is it moved to dynamic award pricing, so an award chart is no longer available. Points needed will be based on the price of the room.
You have an option of redeeming your points for airline miles, but the rate is not good so only use this option if you need to top off an account for an airline award ticket redemption.
You can also redeem your miles Priority Pass lounge access or they can be donated to charity.
Remember that award nights vary by brand and participating hotels, and are subject to availability. Also, rates and benefits can change at any time so be sure to check on specifics when booking and checking in.
