About the Hotel

The Paramount Hotel is a 3-star hotel that can offer competitive rates depending on when you book. As a guest, you’ll have access to a spacious room with tasteful décor, a 24-hour business center with high-speed Internet and business services, and a 24-hour hour fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment. The Paramount also has free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel as well as free coffee and tea at reception and coffeemakers in each room.

Our top pick for one of the best budget hotels in Seattle.

About the Location

Paramount Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Seattle. You’ll be within walking distance to Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum. You can’t ask for better whether you’re paying under $100 per night or $600 per night!

About the Price

Search for the deal and you can find a $90 per night room at the Paramount Hotel. Not too shabby given that the Paramount Hotel is a classy 146-room property in the heart of the downtown area. This accommodation has all the typical amenities and a few small (but meaningful) extras. Note that breakfast isn’t included in the room rate, and those Starbucks runs could add up. Plus, self-parking isn’t available, and valet is expensive. Make sure you factor that into the price of your trip!

Ace Hotel Seattle

Ace Hotel Seattle

About the Hotel

The Ace Hotel is a former maritime workers’ hotel in Belltown. It has intentional design features and strives for “unfussy luxury” (whatever that means). In short, it’s a hip boutique hotel with high ceilings, wood floors, and original artwork. The guest rooms are minimalistic but comfortable. The standard rooms share bathrooms — which are neat and clean — while the deluxe rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Each morning, there’s a DIY waffle breakfast with juice and coffee available.

About the Location

The Ace Hotel is located in the Belltown neighborhood in Seattle. It stands between the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. Downtown Seattle is only a mile away, and you’re still within walking distance of most major attractions and tons of cool bars and restaurants. This prime location makes it one of the best budget hotels in Seattle and well be hard to beat.

About the Price

The Ace Hotel is around $110/night. This is a great deal when you consider the location and the free waffle breakfast you’ll eat each morning.

Belltown Inn

About the Hotel

The Belltown Inn is an unstated, award-winning hotel in the heart of the city. It’s within easy walking distance of popular spots like Pike Place, the Space Needle, Convention Center, Symphony Hall, central waterfront, and so much more. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped. It is also pet-friendly and offers a group rate for local events.

However, there are some caveats to the Belltown Inn’s great price and features. For one, street-side rooms have been noted as noisy by some guests. Additionally, there’s no air-conditioning, no daily maid service (only weekly for extended stays), and no on-site restaurant, fitness center, or pool.

About the Location

This hotel has a terrific location between the downtown area and Space Needle. Once again, if you stay in this area, you’re in a stellar position to walk just about everywhere you need to go and see the sights you want to see. The Belltown Inn also has free loaner bicycles available.

About the Price

You should also note that there’s a fee for both Wi-Fi and parking. If you plan to spend much time at the hotel or don’t have a cellphone date plan that can accommodate your night browsing, this may factor into your decision. Furthermore, if you’re planning to drive to Seattle (instead of fly) or have a rental car, then this is another strike against the Belltown Inn

Warwick Hotel

About the Hotel

Warwick Hotel is a modern hotel with comfortable and spacious guestrooms. All rooms and suites have Juliet balconies, which means as long as you’re on the 5th floor or above, you’ll have access to that gorgeous city view.

The hotel also features a restaurant that services locally sourced Northwestern cuisine, a small indoor pool, a hot tub, a 24-hour fitness center, meeting rooms, a 24-hour business center, and a lounge that serves drinks and tapas. The Warwick also offers free basic Wi-Fi for the duration of your stay.

About the Location

Yet another budget hotel with a central location in Seattle. At the Warwick Hotel, you’re only a 5-minute walk to Pike Place Market and not far from the Space Needle in the opposite direction. Downtown Seattle is about 1 mile overall, so you’re within all major sights, dining, and shopping needs.

About the Price

The average price for a Warwick room is around $100 per night. The price does vary depending on days and ongoing promotions. Not included in this price is breakfast (with most room rates) or parking — both of which can get pricy in the city.

Courtyard Downtown/Pioneer Square

About the Hotel

The Courtyard Downtown/Pioneer Square is situated in the historic Alaska Building, which was constructed in the early 1900s. The rooms themselves are upscale and aligned with other Marriott properties. You’ll, of course, have free Wi-Fi along with flat-screen TVs and iPod docks.

Some of the downsides? No room service and rooms on the smaller side (it is a city after all!). But hey, for traveling on a budget, the Courtyard certainly offers you a competitive option.

This hotel is a part of the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program which is a rarity among the best budget hotels in Seattle.

About the Location

As its name indicate, the Courtyard Pioneer Square is located in an area of the city called Pioneer Square. This neighborhood is known as the “birthplace of Seattle.” It lays claim as the city’s “first neighborhood” and is richly historic. Pioneer Square hosts Renaissance Revival architecture, First Thursday art walks, nightlife, delicious restaurants, and quirky boutiques.

All of this and guess what? You’re still close to the city. You’re only a 15-minute walk to Pike Place, T-Mobile Park, Lumens Field, and other attractions. Bring your walking shoes and get excited to visit this interesting neighborhood in addition to the greater city of Seattle.

About the Price

You’re looking at roughly $85 per night for a room at the Courtyard Downtown/Pioneer Square. Naturally, the benefit of booking with Marriott is taking advantage of their loyalty program. If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member, then this could be your opportunity to get a free room and pay nothing at all.

The Maxwell

The Maxwell hotel one of the best budget hotels in Seattle

About the Hotel

The Maxwell is part of the “Stay Pineapple” hotel network, which is a collection of boutique hotels offering style, comfort, and convenience. Immediately, you’ll see the tie to Stay Pineapple in Seattle’s The Maxwell. Cute and quirky décor litters the lobby and room, which brings the hotel to life. Plus, if you’re hoping to bring your four-legged, furry best friend, the Maxwell is also dog-friendly!

About the Location

The Maxwell is located at the base of Queen Anne Hill. It’s adjacent to the Seattle Center and the iconic Space Needle. While it isn’t in the heart of downtown, it offers a great vantage point of the city in a smaller neighborhood. If you’re visiting family who lives nearby or simply want to avoid as much of the hustle and bustle, Lower Queen Anne is ideal. You’ll still have plenty of access to the city (and can do much of it on foot if you want to!) but don’t have to commit to the full downtown city experience.

About the Price

The Maxwell is priced at around $100 per night, which is incredibly reasonable for what you get in exchange. Just beware of some of the additional fees that may be charged (parking, amenities, etc.).

Moore Hotel

Moore Hotel

About the Hotel

The Moore Hotel brands itself as Seattle’s “econo-classic historical” hotel. What’s this mean? Well, you get a great location without some of the “posh” amenities. For example, no air conditioning, some shared bathrooms, no breakfast, and weak Wi-Fi.

Wondering why you would stay at all? There are some big benefits! For one, the location can’t be beat when it comes to seeing the city. If you’re not going to be in the room at all, then the amenities (or lack thereof) probably won’t bother you all that much. There’s also a great coffee shop on-site — the millennial’s best friend.

If you decide to stay, there are six different room types you can book: suites, standard double queen, standard single queen, adjoining/connecting rooms, euro (shared bath), and accessible rooms.

About the Location

Although the last on our list of the best budget hotels in Seattle The Moore Hotel is only 1 block (5 minutes walking) from Pike Place Market. It’s located next to Moore Theater with bars, restaurants, and shops surrounding it. This is one of this hotel’s main selling points.

About the Price

The Moore Hotel is one of the more expensive hotels on this list, coming in at $150. Beware that breakfast is not included, and parking is only available in a paid nearby garage.
